We offer support in board creation and development, revamping/revitalization, training, long-term strategy and implementation of goals and objectives with timelines and metrics. Our expertise in board development and sustainability is both in applying a values-based 360-degree lens for a holistic approach to reflection, evaluation and results, and operationalizing outcomes for creating a healthy, high-functioning, and reimagined 21st-century board.
Our services include:
• Assisting boards to gain clarity around the type of board they are founding board, working board, governing board, etc. TGG starts with this evaluation in helping shape the board into its most effective and efficient, form. We help boards eliminate confusion, create clarity, better define their relationship to the organization’s mission, vision, values, and infuse this all into the organization’s growth strategy.
• Assist in understanding their fiduciary responsibility, how it should be performed, and by what lens.
• Support board members in having productive conversations around challenging topics.
• Support Board member sourcing, onboarding and offboarding.
• Conduct Board Assessments such as:
- 360 organization assessments
- ED/CEO/President assessments
- Board self-assessments and follow-up
- Board retreats/action planning including:
**Annual self-assessments for new and existing boards that include opportunities to describe a commitment to work that supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values, and
**Design and delivery of ED/CEO/President assessments to staff and follow-up reporting to the board (along with recommended actions for ED/CEO/President).

TGG can build tailored internal assessment (staff) and/or external assessment (client/stakeholder/community/etc.) to understand where your largest opportunities lie.
An initial assessment will be done via electronic survey as well as through focus groups to include staff and clients/stakeholders/community and will be used to gather information on the organization’s current culture.
The assessment will be developed in conjunction with leadership to ensure appropriate and relevant information-gathering. TGG will work with leadership on the best approach and manner for which to inform staff, and the purpose of the assessment to ensure the best possible outcome for real and open engagement with staff.
